1. What can I store at Anchor Self Storage?
You can store anything within your unit apart from items classed as perishable, flammable, illegal or Toxic!! If in
doubt about the suitability of your goods our staff will be only too pleased to advise.
2. How much space do I need to hire?
You can use our size estimator page within this site to assist you in deciding how much space you require. Please feel free to consult our staff at the facility who will be able to show you empty demonstration units of various sizes before you make your decision.
3. What if my space requirements change?
Our staff will be able to offer you alternative units of various sizes at any time during office hours – subject to
availability.
4. Is there a minimum or maximum period I can hire a unit for?
The minimum period is 14 days but there is no maximum time limit – you can hire your unit(s) for as long as
you need.
5. Do I have to inform you how long I want the unit(s) for when I first hire?
Not at all – we will be happy to accommodate you for as long as you wish to stay.
6. How much notice do you need before I can move into my unit(s)?
As soon as you have visited the store, signed the contract, paid your first invoice and provided the necessary
forms of identification you can move straight into your unit.
7. How much notice do you need before I move out?
Notice Time is 14 days in writing.
8. Apart from me who has a key to my unit(s)?
All units are secured with a padlock which can be purchased from
our on site packing store and you are the only key holder. You are the only key holder.
9. What do I need to bring with me to hire a unit(s)?
In order to maintain security guidelines set within the British Self Storage industry all customers are asked to
provide two forms of identification:
1 x Passport or New Style Driving Licence 1 x Bank Statement (Clearly Displaying name and Address) 1 x Name & Address of Emergency Contact (Living at alternative address) Methods of payment Credit or Debit card. We do NOT accept American Express. 10. Do I need insurance for my goods?
Yes, Insurance is compulsory but there are several options such as: It is worth checking with your contents
insurers as a lot of policies cover goods not actually within your business / domestic premises. However if you
do require insurance, our staff will be happy to provide you with tailor-made cover for your goods at a very
reasonable rate. The value of cover required can be changed at any time as you fill / empty your unit(s).
