Businesses, individuals and households can benefit from our facility. With a wide range of self-storage units, office space and industrial units, we have everything an individual or business could need. We understand the importance of security which is why our sites are fully equipped with 24/7 monitored and recorded CCTV, fire and intruder alarms and access systems. Our storage units are also individually alarmed and only the customer has a key to access the unit. Customers also benefit from our free 24-hour access, so you can come and go as you please. We are committed to providing you with the highest quality customer service and our friendly team are always more than happy to help.

Self-Storage can provide you with a wide range of unit sizes. Whether you are moving house, have your own business or just need a bit of extra space, we can provide you with a unit to suit. Once you have your unit you can place your goods and possessions inside and have peace of mind that they will be safe until you need them again. You will have your own padlock to the unit and you can come and go as you please with our FREE 24 hour access. All units are protected with alarm systems and our CCTV is recorded and monitored 24/7.

You will firstly need to choose the unit size you require. We welcome store visits if you would like to see our units and facility to help you decide. Storage units can be reserved to secure a unit for 28 days to avoid disappointment on move in day. You can come and go as you please with our free 24 hour access. You can stay for as long as you need and to vacate we only require 14 day’s notice.

Yes, you will need your own padlock to ensure you are the sole key holder. We will never have access to your unit. If you do not have a padlock we have these available for purchase in store.

The price is determined by the unit size and your length of stay. We continually have offers running to provide you with competitive prices. Why not give our friendly team a call today for your free no obligation quotation.

We will only require a deposit if you wish to reserve a unit. This will cost £10.00 which will then be deducted from your first month’s rent.

We require 14 days’ notice prior to you vacating your unit. You will need to ensure that all goods are removed from your unit and that there is no rubbish left behind. If you have been issued with an access card you will also need to hand this back. Please ensure you do this during our reception opening hours as a member of staff will need to check your unit before finalising the vacation process.

Minimum stay is 2 weeks. You don’t have to stay this long but you will be charged for the full 2 weeks. There is no restriction as to how long you can stay, you can keep the unit for as long as you need it.

Self-Storage units are subject to VAT. Our team will always make you aware of the price including the VAT. You will receive an access card/code with 24-hour access free of charge. Extra’s that you will need to purchase include- insurance to cover your items whilst in storage. If you wish to take our cover it costs £4.50 per £1000 worth of goods, this will be charged on a 4 weekly basis, alternatively you can provide your own insurance. You will also need a padlock to secure your unit, we sell these in store if you don’t already have one. If you wish to reserve a unit we require a one off payment of £10.00 which will then be deducted from your first month’s rent upon sign up.

Swindon Branch – 15-800sqft.
Our friendly team will be more than happy to assist you in finding the right size unit for your needs.

After your initial sign up period we will invoice you on a four weekly/monthly basis and you will receive your invoice 10 days prior to your unit being due for payment. We always take payment in advance. When it comes to vacating your unit, providing you have given us 14 day’s notice you will receive a refund for any unused storage charges.

We ask for the first payment to be made by credit/debit card. For future payments we will accept credit/debit card, cash payments or cheques.

It is strongly advised your goods must be insured whilst in storage. Anchor Self Storage can provide you with insurance. We will ask you for the value of the goods that will be in your unit during your stay. Minimum charge for insurance is £4.50 for £1000 worth of goods. This will be charged on a four weekly basis. We do accept customers own insurance providing we have been given evidence that your insurance will cover your goods in a self-storage unit at our facility.

No, the minimum stay is two weeks, you can then leave at any time, we just ask that you provide us with 14 day’s notice.

Yes, if we have the unit size you require available you may place a reservation on a particular unit to secure it for a full 28 days. A payment of £10.00 will be required to secure the unit, this will then be deducted from your first month’s rent upon sign up. Reservations can be placed over the phone using a credit/debit card or you can visit us in store. You can sign up to your reserved unit at any time during the 28 days. Please be aware that if you do not sign up to your unit within the 28 days you will lose your reservation and you will forfeit your deposit.

There’s no need to worry, you have the flexibility of transferring to a different size unit to suit your needs provided we have something available for you. We will always do our best to help you find the right size unit.

You will be issued with an access card/code that will give 24 hour access 7 days a week. You will have your own padlock and key so only you can access your unit. You can access your unit as many times as you like.

You will need to come to reception so that a member of staff can verify who you are. If you are not the account holder you must be a named person on the contract who has permission to access the unit. A member of staff will then be able to remove the padlock and you can then place a new one onto your unit.

Unfortunately, we do not provide a van hire or removal service. We can however recommend companies within the area. We have become familiar with a few companies that have been used many times by our customers and are very professional. We have a car parking area outside our storage facility and you can make use of our large loading bay where you will find trolleys and pallet trucks.

No, we do also have units on the first floor. We will make you aware if we are offering you an upstairs unit. We have a lift and trolleys available to help transfer your goods to your unit. If you have any disabilities that restrict you from going upstairs then please make us aware of this and we will do our best to find you a suitable unit.

Yes, inside our loading bay you will find trolleys and pallet trucks available for our customers to use. We only ask that you return them to the loading bay when you are finished so that other customers can easily find them and keep the corridors clear for access routes.

All our storage units are individually alarmed. You will also have your own padlock on the unit meaning only you will be able to gain access to the unit. We have 24/7 monitored and recorded CCTV inside the storage facility and around the entire site. Fire alarm systems are also in place. Our Swindon Branch also has the added benefit of having on-site security.

You can move in the same day you make your enquiry providing we have a suitable unit available for you. You will have to complete all relevant paperwork, provide ID and make payment before you can gain access to the unit.

You will need to bring along two forms of ID, one form of photo ID (Passport or driving licence) and a utility bill less than 3 months old. You will also need a padlock for your unit, if you don’t already have one, we sell these in store. If you will be using your own insurance to cover your goods whilst in storage, you will need to provide us with relevant documentation to prove that your goods are covered whilst inside our facility. You will also need a credit/debit card to make the first payment on your storage unit.

Yes, we sell a wide range of packaging materials including boxes, bubble wrap, packing tape and much more, all available in store. Discounts are available for bulk buys.

  • Security team are always available 24 hours a day should you have any problems outside of reception opening hours. Security contact number will be provided upon sign up.
  • Swipe card access. Swipe cards are linked to your account and unit so that we can monitor who is coming onto site (Dudley Branch)
  • QR Code access. QR Codes are linked to your account and unit so that we can monitor who is coming onto site. (Swindon Branch)
  • All individual units are alarmed and are linked to the access system. This means that your unit alarm will only be deactivated once you have used your access card/code to enter the storage facility and will be activated when you use this again to leave.
  • Our alarm systems are constantly monitored either from our main reception or our security team.
  • As an additional precaution our storage facility has an intercom system that will connect you directly to our security team.
  • Fire alarm systems are in place. We have a several fire alarm points and fire extinguishers around the storage facility and fire exits are clearly marked.

Yes, if you are allowing someone else to access your unit and has not been added on to the contract then please let a member of staff know. You will be responsible for anyone you bring onto site with you. We ask that if you bring children onto site that you do not let them wander off or run along the corridors for their own safety.

We can sign for and accept deliveries on your behalf, we just ask that you collect your delivery promptly. As we have no access to customers unit’s, deliveries will be stored in the loading bay or postal room until you come to collect them.

Security FAQs

Anchor Self Storage UK Ltd believe security is of paramount importance. We provide 24/7 security who undertake the monitoring of CCTV, they are the first point of call for any emergency such as fire or intrusion. Additionally, there are multiple call points located in and around the building, which are connected directly to the security team. All fire and intruder alarms are connected directly to our security team to ensure a quick response.

Our professional and experienced security team have been a part of Anchor since we first began and have a complete understanding of our sites, as well as excellent knowledge of our tenants to ensure complete safety and security.

You will be issued with an access card/code that will allow you 24-hour access 7 days a week. You will have your own padlock and key, so only you can access your unit. You can access your unit as many times as you like.

Dudley Branch – If you have lost or damaged your access card, please visit reception during our opening hours to purchase a replacement card. Replacements cost £6.00 including VAT.

Swindon Branch – If you lose your QR code we can either send you another via email or you can visit reception where we can provide you with a new print out of your code.

Please notify a member of staff as soon as you know you have lost your access card. Even though they are not identifiable as belonging to Anchor we want to avoid anyone being able to unlawfully gain access to the site. We can deactivate your current access settings as soon as you notify us to prevent this.

You will need to come to reception so that a member of staff can verify who you are. If you are not the account holder you must be a named person on the contract who has permission to access the unit. A member of staff will then be able to remove the padlock and you can then place a new one onto your unit. The replacement padlock will be at your own cost.

All units are individually alarmed. Your access card/code is linked to your unit. When you log into the facility your unit alarm is disarmed and will be reactivated once you log out of the facility. If your unit is opened without your access card/code being used, this will trigger the alarm and staff will be aware of a forced entry. You will also provide your own padlock to the unit so that only you have access. We also have CCTV throughout the facility, and outside which is recorded and monitored 24/7.

  • Our Security team are always contactable 24 hours a day should you have any problems outside of reception opening hours. Contact telephone numbers are provided up on sign up. Also, as an additional precaution, our storage facility has an intercom system that will connect you directly to our security team, so no need to worry of you have left your mobile phone at home.
  • Swipe card/ QR Code access. These are linked to self-storage and office accounts individually, so that we are able to monitor who is accessing site.
  • All individual units are fully alarmed against fire and intruder. These are linked to the access system. This means that your unit will remain secure throughout your stay.
  • Our alarm systems are constantly monitored by main reception staff and our security team.
  • Fire alarm systems are in place. We have several fire alarm points and fire extinguishers in and around the storage facility as well as easy to use fire exits. All of which are clearly marked and identified.
  • The electronic gate situated at the main entrance is closed outside of reception opening hours and only opens using your allocated swipe card, to prevent any intruders gaining access.

Our security team can be contacted 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. At the time of signing your contract, you will be issued with contact telephone numbers for our security team.

Yes, but you will be responsible for any person you bring to site. If you wish to give your access card and padlock key to another person to gain access, you will also be held responsible for this person even if you are not on site. We ask that if you bring children onto site that you watch them at all times and don’t allow them to wonder around the facility for their own safety. Dogs and other animals are not allowed inside the facility unless it is a guide/assistance dog.

Dudley Branch – 153sqft – 367sqft

Swindon Branch – 75sqft – 660sqft.

Rent includes all utilities i.e. gas, electric & water rates. Telephone lines and internet connection are to be installed and paid for by the tenant. All tenants have the use of toilets and kitchenette. You will be supplied with one set of keys to gain access to the office building and your own office suite. If you have more than one person working in the office at different times and need extra keys, the tenant is responsible for supplying these.

We charge all our offices suites on a per calendar month basis, payable in advance. Invoices will be issued 10 days before payment is due. Payments can be made using a credit/debit card, cash or cheque.

Yes, we take a deposit equivalent to one months’ rent when you sign the lease. This is returned upon vacating the office suite, providing the suite is returned in its original state.

We require that all office tenants sign for a minimum of 1 year.

Dudley Branch – The office block is situated opposite the storage facility, so it has been given its own intruder and fire alarm systems with individually alarmed office suites. Each tenant is given a set of keys which give access to the main doors of the office block and a key to your office suite. Tenants will also be given their own individual alarm code for the alarm panel. The office block is also covered by 24-hour monitored and recorded CCTV.

Swindon Branch – The offices are inside the Business Centre, located in the main building. Tenants are given a QR code to access the business centre, which is linked to the tenants account so that we can monitor who is coming on site. You will also be issued with an office suite key to gain access to your office space. Swindon also has on site security who patrol the site regularly throughout day and night. The business centre is also covered by 24-hour monitored and recorded CCTV.

You can access your office 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We offer all tenants free 24 hour access.

Yes, we have car parking spaces situated outside the office block.

No. Tenants are responsible for furnishing their own office.

We have an onsite cleaner who carries out weekly cleans throughout the communal areas. Tenants will be responsible for cleaning inside their own office suites, and we kindly ask that you clean up after yourselves in the communal areas to keep it tidy for others.

Yes, any post will be delivered to your designated postal box. Reception staff can accept deliveries of parcels if you are not in and you will be notified to come and collect them.
